Personal profile
Calum Ross has been living and working in the 蘑菇视频 since he bought the now 4-star Loch Melfort Hotel, near Oban, with his wife Rachel in 2008. He combines the challenges of small business ownership with a consultancy business, mentoring and advising SMEs across the 蘑菇视频 and Islands, in a variety of industry sectors.
He is a former board member of VisitScotland and UK Hospitality. Prior to returning to Scotland, Calum was chief operating officer, Unilever Foodsolutions, Latin America, based in Sao Paulo.

Calum is a member of the new Tourism & Hospitality Industry Leadership group, a director of the Scottish Tourism Alliance, Argyll and the Isles Tourism Co-operative, 蘑菇视频 & Islands Tourism Awards and Red Roof Business Support Ltd. Calum was appointed to the Court of the University of the 蘑菇视频 and Islands in January 2022 as the 蘑菇视频 representative on the Court. In May 2024, Calum became a trustee and director of Kilmartin Museum.
